Frank Johnston (1888 – 1949)

 An artist of impressive skill and creativity, Johnston was briefly a member of the Group of 7 before striking out for Winnipeg in 1921. Johnston came to nurture his personal style along the lines of realism in a departure from the expressionist flavor of the Group of 7.
